How to Measure your Childs Feet

1. Simply stand your child on the upturned lid of a shoebox or something similar that has a 90 degree angle for them to rest their heel against.

2. Make them stand with both heels against this vertical part, and draw a line on the box where their longest toe ends.

3. Make sure that you do this for both feet, as one is normally longer than the other, and use a ruler to measure the distance between the heel end and the pencil line for both.

4.The longer measurement of the two is the one that you should use for shoe size.

5. Once you know the measurements in centimeters, you will then be able to check the length of the foot to the corresponding shoe size on the chart then check against each designers shoe length.

Tips for measuring and buying

Measure your childs feet at the end of the day as this is when feet are at their largest.

Measure in the socks or tights that they will wear with their new shoes

If the shoes arrive and they are too big but the next size down are too small we recommend that you purchase a pair of insoles to place inside the shoes, also wearing socks will give more padding than tights
