Our policy is to keep the personal information we receive from this website completely confidential and used solely for internal purposes. It will not be shared with any other parties, except when you are forwarding on your orders to third party suppliers for the purpose of processing and dispatching your orders. Each supplier will have their own Privacy Policies in place. Please review this policy carefully.

  1. About Communion Angels & First Holy Communion Day
This website is run by myself, Jo Wijngaarden as the owner of the Communion Angels & First Holy Communion Day business. This is an online shop that that supplies First Holy Communion and other religious sacrament goods and services.
We operate a drop-ship arrangement with various suppliers for some of our products, this means that you order with us at www.firstholycommunionday.co.uk and your order is fulfilled by a third party supplier.  Your address details are only passed onto these suppliers for the purpose of fulfilling your order.  Each supplier is required to comply with the GDPR regulations.  No financial information is shared with our drop-shipping partners.

  1. What personal data do we collect
Personal data is any information which identifies you personally – for example, your name. This Privacy Policy is concerned with the personal data for the following:
  • Customers who physically visit the Dressing Room for a dress fitting appointment
  • On-line customers who are making online purchases
  • Online enquiries via the website with regards to appointments, products and updated.
 
 
We collect the following data from you when you place an online order:
  • Name
  • Address – for postage purposes
  • Contact details (email and telephone number) – to enable us to update you on your order status and to contact you regarding any queries relating to your order.
  • Personalisation details for recipients of your gifts.
  • Event dates and locations (in the case of personalised goods)
  • Payment is made via third party websites PayPal & Klarna. I would advise you to read PayPal’s & Klarna’s own Privacy Policy before using its website should you have any concerns.
  • Like many websites, we use cookies to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to my website. Please refer to the “cookies” section below for information about cookies and how I use them.
  • We use a third-party service, Google Analytics on this website. From this we may collect certain information about your visit, such as the type of browser you use, the date and time you accessed the website, the pages that you access whilst visiting the website and the internet address of the website from which you linked directly to this website.  We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes, to help improve and administer the website and it will not be shared with any other party.  This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.  We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my website.
  • We use Jot Form to enable us to offer an online ‘Contact Us’, ‘Appointment Request’ and ‘Register your Interest’ service.  The ‘Contact Us’ data and ‘Appointment Request’ data is only held until we have dealt with your enquiry, it is then deleted from the database.  The ‘Register your Interest’ is held for the current Communion Season, so we can send you email updates via Mail Chimp or email through the season.  At the end of the season, all of your details will be deleted and the database wiped clean.
  • If you send me via email or text we will only hold onto this information until your enquiry has been dealt with. After it has been dealt with, your email will be deleted.
 
  1. Use of Personal Information
The personal information collected on this website, will be used to provide the services requested.  This will include:
  • To quickly process transactions of items purchased via the shop page and deliver them to the contact details provided;
  • To deliver gifts purchased to the recipient of the gift, if different from the purchaser.
  • To forward to our drop-shipping partners to enable them to process your order in the same way that we do.
  • To update customers who have requested information on the forth coming Communion Season, booking an appointment or contacting us for product or service information.
  • To improve and administer the website.

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure.  To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures in place to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks.  When you place orders for a gift voucher, we use third-party websites PayPal and Klarna to process the transactions securely.
Third-Party Services
WordPress
We use a third-party service, WordPress to publish a website Blog and two subsidiary websites, www.firstholycommuniondresses.co.uk and www.communiondressesforgirls.uk.  We use a standard WordPress service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the website.  For example, the number of users viewing pages on the website, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the website and help us improve it.  It is possible to contact us via these two WordPress websites, again using Jot Forms and the data is handled in the same way as on the main website www.firstholycommunionday.co.uk . 
Google Analytics

Jot Form
We use Jot Form to create online forms to enable customers to submit requests for information, requests for appointments or for a quick and easy way to contact us regarding our products and services.  Data is only held for the duration of the enquiry and will then be deleted. Please read Jot Forms’s own Privacy Policy before using its website.
Mail Chimp
We use Mail Chimp as a way of creating an email campaign based on ‘Requests for Information’ submitted on our ‘Request for Information’ Jot Form.  Customers who sign up for updates on the website for the forthcoming season, will receive updates from us regarding new products and services on offer for that season.  If you do not wish to receive updates, please do not sign up for this service.  At the end of the season (usually July), all data will be deleted from both the Jot Form and Mail Chimp databases.  Please read Mail Chimp’s own Privacy Policy before using its website.
