What is the returns and refunds policy for a Stock First Communion Dress?
Subject to exceptions, Communion Angels (www.firstholycommunionday.co.uk) is happy to refund your purchase within 14 days of delivery (sale dresses are excluded from this policy). You have a duty to return any item to us and the cost of doing so is your responsibility
Postage and packing charges are a separate contract and are deemed as a service that has begun and has been completed before the end of the 14 day money back policy period and hence will not be refunded.
Your refund will be credited to the original payment card
PLACING AN ORDER
All items are subject to availability
• Stock Communion Dresses - All items are subject to availability . These Communion dresses are stocked and shipped by First Holy Communion Day
• Drop Ship Dresses - All items are subject to availability . These Communion dresses are stocked and shipped direct from the designer.
• We do try to monitor stock daily and will notify you if any Communion dress ordered is unavailable and will offer you an alternative, if required.
• Only one Communion Dress Purchase, per order.
• Only two Communion Veils or Headresses Purchase, per order.
• Only two Communion Shoes Purchase, per order
• Each Communion dress has its own size chart specific to that Communion dress. Please refer to these charts when making your decision.
• All Communion dresses are dispatched in the same way we receive them. Hang the Communion dress on a padded hanger in a warm room and the creases will fall out naturally after a couple weeks.
Alternatively if you require your Communion dress to be pressed before dispatch please add this option and allow up to 5 days for dispatch
AVAILABILITY, OUT OF STOCK ORDERS
First Communion Day cannot be held liable for items that are out of stock. All items are subject to availability, We make every effort to ensure items are available. However, due to stock being in limited sizes and quantities and most, only being available for one season, certain items may not be repeated or available.In the event of any items being out of stock, we will contact you via e-mail with an estimated delivery date. You will have the option to cancel your order or wait for stock.
DISPATCH DETAILS
First Communion Dresses that are in stock, will be dispatched within 1-2 working days and dispatched by service selected
• We recommend that you select Special Delivery for your dress delivery.
• Delivery times will depend on the method of postage you choose and the delivery location.
• Business days are Monday through Friday
Orders placed after 1pm Friday - 9.00am Monday will not be processed until after 9.00am Monday (except Bank Holidays)
• If you need your dress quickly and are unsure of availability, please get in touch to check stock levels.
SPECIAL DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS - If you request for your order to be delivered to an address other than the card holders registered address ie to a work address and or neighbour or mark parcels with 'leave in porch' (or similar instruction) we will do this however due to possible theft this is entirely at your own risk - we cannot be held responsible for any failings - Royal Mail will not leave packages that require a signature on receipt.
Orders placed with delivery to PO Box addresses, airports and any other similar non residential or work address will be rejected.
REDELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS - We will not be liable to you for a redelivery if a "non-signature" service is requested, or written instructions are given to leave goods in a "safe" location, and the goods are subsequently lost or damaged, or we receive written instructions to collect Consignments from a “safe” location in which event we shall not be liable for any loss or damage which occurs prior to such collection, or attempted collection of such Consignment. You acknowledge that if you elect to choose a non-signature service or you request that goods are left at, or collected from a ‘safe’ location at your address, that you are aware that these requests have not been recommended by us nor should such methods be used for goods which have high value to you or the Consignee (if applicable)
WHEN YOUR ORDER ARRIVES
• Check to make sure you received exactly what you ordered.
• Do not remove any tags or dispose of the shipping box or packaging for items.
• Please note: dresses may need pressing on receipt due to packing.
• If there is a problem, contact us within (3) days of the receipt of your order. We recommend that you send an e-mail to: communionangels@hotmail.com
• If you wish to return an item, we will at this time, issue you a returns number
If you product is damaged in transit, please keep all packaging. We will ask that you send photo's of the damaged item and packaging, so that we process a claim with Royal Mail.
You will need to keep hold of the product and item, until we notify you of a reference number and a freepost address send the damaged product and packaging to.

FAULTY PRODUCTS
We want you to be confident that you have our full support if you receive a product that is faulty or defective, we will exchange the product for an identical replacement free of charge (if available) with the least disruption provided that you have notified us by email of the fault within 3 days and the product is returned to us within 14 days in its original packaging.
The earlier you notify us the quicker we can resolve any problems.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot refund or exchange faulty, damaged or incorrect orders after 14 days of receipt.
• If a mistake was made on our part, or if the item is defective, you need to notify us within 3 days of receipt and we will provide a Pre Paid Label to return the product to us within 24hrs we will promptly send you a replacement on receipt of the return item with no shipping cost to you
• If you merely want to exchange any part of your order, simply place a new order.
• The cost of returning the unwanted item is the customer’s responsibility, the refund will be less postage costs to dispatch the item. We do recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery, Registered post or by courier that will enable you to obtain insurance and a tracking number. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
• We cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged during this shipment, if an item is returned to us damaged by the carrier, we will contact the customer as it is the customers responsibility to process a claim through the carrier and not First Holy Communion Day.
RETURNS - 14 Day No Quibble Returns Policy on "STOCK" First Communion Dresses and Communion Shoes
A full refund minus postage costs will be given.We cannot refund the postage cost incurred in returning unwanted goods.
To return or exchange an item, please follow these next steps
1. Repack the gift in its original packaging, if possible along with the packing slip.

For your security, when returning a product please use an insured service and obtain proof of posting. We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery, First Holy Communion Day is not accountable for items damaged or lost in transit. If the nature of the return is due to the item being damaged, defective, or not the correct product, First Holy Communion Day will refund postage costs.
• Your return must be postmarked within 24hrs of receipt of the returns number otherwise it will be shipped back at your expense and considered a final sale.
CREDITING YOUR ACCOUNT
• Refunds will be processed and issued within 10 business days after receipt of themerchandise for the customer. We will credit the method of payment used.
Non Suitable items we will deduct shipping fees that incurrecd to dispatch the item to the customer
• Please allow up to 28 days for the credit card companies to process the refund.
CANCELLATION AN ORDER
• Any cancellation must be made within 24 hours of the order being placed
• Once an order has been commissioned and production has started it cannot be cancelled. Our normal return policy will then apply if the merchandise is unwanted.

To purchase a Communion dress using our flexible payment service, we require a 50% non-refundable initial payment, you are then able to make instalments, when convenient, with up to 182 days to pay the full amount.

Once a dress is 'put away' for you or 'pre-ordered' in for you, we will not refund, exchange or offer a credit should you change your mind on your choice of dress or sizing this is due to the extended period that they are unavailable to the public.
We will not ship your dress for delivery or permit any Communion dress to leave our shop until full payment has been made.
Pre Order Communion Dress
Every pre order Communion dress is made-to-order, even for the standard size . Once your payment is confirmed, the designers start to select and cut material according your size, so it is a tailor-made Communion dress only for you. Therefore we are unable to accept returns on pre order or made to order Communion dresses apart from in the case of faulty goods. Please make sure that measurements are taken accurately and sizes are chosen carefully. First Holy Communion day cannot accept responsibility for measurements taken by a third party
Pre Order Communion dresses are non-stock items that we do not keep in our inventory and delivery may take up to 6 - 16 weeks
Any product which has to be specially ordered (pre order) in a colour or size of your choice and is not therefore held by us as a stock item will be deemed a custom order pre order Communion dresses are cut specifically for you! .
Pre Order Made to Measure Communion Dress
When advising of measurements, please email these measurements to communionangels@hotmail.com - First Holy Communion Day recommends being measured by a reputable dressmaker. First Holy Communion day is not responsible for the measurement accuracy of others.
Made-to order-Communion Wear
Will my Communion dress turn be exactly the same as the original? Every made to order Communion dress is handmade to order not machine made, so no identical Communion dress can be made so there may be a colour variance of white and ivory material, as we cannot guarantee that the made to order Communion dress will be made from the same roll of fabric as the Communion dress seen at the shop or online. When viewing Communion dresses online it is very difficult to view the true colours of these materials, beads, lace on each individual computer screen.
Please kindly understand that all embellishments including sequins, beads, pearls may vary, as once the current stock is used up, the designers will use new ones. Our designers will determine how to put them on so as to get the best effect, the position of everything might not be 100% the same.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns on made-to-order items such as Communion dresses or Veils unless the item is faulty.
Pre order Communion Shoes - We hold limited stock and sizes of First Communion shoes, If you require Ivory Communion shoes or a size that we do not stock, we will be able order direct from the supplier on a pre order basis, subject to availability delivery may take up to 2 weeks any First Communion shoes that are pre-ordered are non returnable.
Dress Alterations
Any alterations are a separate service and are not included in the price of the dress.
One Dress Per School/Church Policy
We keep a list of every dress sold during our 1:1 appointments and online. With the face to face appointments we can guarentee that we will not sell the same dress to the same mass. When dresss are ordered online, we will do our best to ensure that we have not sold that dress to anyone else at your church. However, we cannot guarantee that someone else will purchase the same Communion dress from another stockists, Each season we do stock over 120 stunning Communion dress styles to choose from & two collections that are exclusive to us
