Appointments & When to Buy your Dress

  • Appointments will be 1 hour long and you will need to provide your short list of dresses that you would like to view before the appointment date.
  • Only 1 adult and 1 child will be allowed at the appointment – I only have a small space and we will still be maintaining social distancing.
  • Accompanying adults will be required to dress their daughter, but I will be here to help.
  • Masks must be worn by all adults.
  • All dresses tried on will be ‘quarantined’ and sprayed between appointments.
  • Dresses purchased at the appointment will not be stored and dresses that are in stock must be taken away at the appointment.
  • If your dress needs to be ordered in, I will arrange for your dress to be delivered to your address or you can drive by to collect.
Virtual Appointments
  • I will continue to offer virtual appointments for those who are unable to travel to Chertsey, Surrey.
  • If you are planning on ordering dresses to try, please return your dresses within 2 days of receipt.  During the peak season a maximum of 2 dresses can be ordered at one time to try.
  • Customers are responsible for postage both ways when ordering dresses to try.

What happens if my Communion is delayed?

Let’s pray that this doesn’t happen again this year, but it is always best to allow room for growth.  Some designers allow enough room to let the dresses out by 1-2 dress sizes, again we can discuss before ordering.  If I have the next size in stock I can swap the dress out if your Communion has been delayed but I will not be re-ordering dresses in in the next sizes…so we need to do our very best to get this right first time.

Do you offer made to measure?
Some designers offer made to measure and plus size dresses.  Please be aware that there are surcharges for made to measure dresses and they can take longer.  Designers that can offer made to measure and/or plus sizes are:

If you have a made to measure dress they are non-returnable and non-refundable, again allow room for growth and measure twice, get a second opinion and we can measure over video.

Can I have an accessory appointment?
Yes…I have soooo many accessories and you don’t have to have purchased your dress from me.  You can send me a picture of your dress and we can have a video call and accessorise away. It’s always a good idea to have an idea about your hair style before we discuss the hair accessories.

What do we do about Shoes?
Don’t order too early!  Little feet are always growing.  Easter is a great time to order.  I stock 3 different brands:
Little People – Fully stocked and more arriving in February and when they do that is my stock for the season
Rainbow Club – generally I can keep ordering those but need to keep an eye on their stock levels.  Sizes 2 & 4 are limited at the moment.  More stock is arriving in March.
TNY Shoes – arriving in the Spring and again, when they are gone they are gone!
Puilin Shoes from Spain - arriving in December and when they are gone they are gone!

Returns
Always a tricky question!
My returns policy is 14 days, but during this difficult time, flexibility has been the key.  When sending samples (for Millie Grace or Spanish Dresses), I will send with next day delivery and I expect the dresses to be sent back next day delivery too – this minimises the amount of time out of the shop and the amount of time spent in the postal system.  YES IT’S EXPENSIVE, but it is quick and importantly the dresses are insured and it’s not as expensive as losing a dress and driving or flying to see me.  The cost of sending samples is borne by the customer both ways….sorry.
If you have received your stock dress, you have 14 days to return, if you can do it sooner then that is great.
If I have ordered a dress especially in for you or it is made to order, it is not returnable, that’s why it’s important to do your research, measure well and ask lots of questions.
 
Hygiene
An important question whether you are in the middle of a pandemic or not.  All samples are sprayed or steamed before dispatch, they are all sent in fresh plastic bags (and boxes) – not great for the environment I know but safer.  On their return they are ‘quarantined’ and re-sprayed.  Please minimise how much the dresses are tried on and handled if possible.
Tiaras, gloves, hosiery and veils are non-returnable – so again choose wisely.
